    Security and Privacy Policy:

  1. How secure is my on-line transaction?

    Our on-line ordering system is very secure: Your Credit card transaction is protected through our secure server, the adopted standard for processing secure credit card transactions through the internet. Only authorized personnel at Avant Garden and Home will receive your credit card information.


    On the bottom of your window you will note the solid gold key (Netscape browsers) or a locked key ( Microsoft browsers). Your credit card transactions are verified with IC Verify, a system that electronically verifies transactions on the spot.


  2. How does Avant Garden and Home protect my privacy?

    Being consumers ourselves, the issue of Privacy Protection is extremely important to us at AvantGardenandHome. Your private information is never shared with any outside company or other third party.

  3. Do you have off-line ordering options?
    Yes we do, but we encourage you to order online, because it is the fastest, most convenient way to order 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

    Phone: To order by phone, please call 831 659 9899, 7-days a week 10am-5pm PST. If after hours, please leave a message, we will return your call by the end of the next business day.


  4. What methods of payment do you accept?
    Online, we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
    By Fax: credit cards only.
    By Mail: credit card, check or money order in U.S. funds only.
    Sorry, no C.O.D orders or foreign credit cards can be accepted.


  5. How do I know Avant Garden and Home received my order?
    You will receive an e-mail within 24 business hours confirming receipt of your order.


  6. When do you charge my credit card?
    We do not charge your credit card until the day of shipment, unless you place
    a custom order, in that case we charge the card when the order is placed.


  7. What if an item I am ordering is out of stock?
    This is a rare occurrence, but we will notify you within 24 business hours
    of the estimated length of time before the item will be back in stock.
    You can then opt to backorder the item, re-order later, change or cancel your order.


    Shipping and Delivery:



  8. What shipping methods do you use?
    We use Federal Express for most orders within the Continental US. For Canada and overseas orders we use the United States Postal Service. Orders that ship to APO/FPO, Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. Territories, such as Guam and Puerto Rico can take from 4-8 weeks for arrival. Shipping charges will be calculated off-line for these orders and you will be notified of the total charges by e-mail before we ship. We will then wait for your confirmation to ship.


  9. How long before my order arrives?
    You can expect to receive your order within 2-3 weeks. If you would like to receive your items sooner we can arrange for quicker delivery in most cases. Please contact us by email or phone to inquire.


  10. What are the shipping charges?
    Shipping Charges are calculated at the checkout page.


  11. Do you ship internationally?
    With regret, we are not able to ship internationally.
    We do ship to APO military addresses and all 52 states within the US as well as US territories such as Guam and PR.


  12. Will you ship to a different mailing address?
    Our order form will guide you easily through this process.
    However, we can only ship to one address per order: if you have multiple
    addresses to ship to, it will have to be processed as a separate, new order.


  13. Do you charge sales tax?

    Avant Garden and Home is located in California, therefore
    California residents orders will automatically be charged a 7.25% sales tax.


    Gift Services:
  14. Can I send a Gift Certificate?
    You can order gift certificates in any amount. Please call 1-831-659-9899 for gift certificate orders.
    Gift Certificates are not transferable. If the Purchase is for less than the Certificate amount, bearer will receive a credit voucher, good for up to one year.


  15. I received a Gift Certificate : how do I order?

    On the order form simply select that you are paying by check/money order and insert the certificate information in the special instructions field. You can also e-mail, fax or mail us the certificate information along with your order. We will then prepare your order and charge you the difference if the order is for a larger amount than the value of the Certificate or issue a credit voucher if the order is for less. The credit voucher is good for up to one year from the date of the order.
    Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash.
